Receipt printing that fits your counter.
Choose a direct network connection with Epson, Star or Citizen, or use QZ Tray / Local Printer to keep a compatible Epson printer working through your PC or Mac.
Epson direct network printing
For a new counter, we recommend a newer Epson with ePOS-capable Ethernet hardware, such as the TM-T88VI or TM-T88VII. Epson’s ePOS JavaScript technology lets the browser communicate directly with the printer, without a local printing helper.

Use wired Ethernet, or supported Wi-Fi with the appropriate adapter. Enable the printer’s ePOS service and complete its secure network setup.
On other Epson models, confirm the exact network card and firmware support ePOS browser printing. An Ethernet port alone does not guarantee compatibility; QZ Tray provides another route for older equipment.
QZ Tray / Local Printer
Use compatible Epson ESC/POS receipt printers over USB or older Ethernet connections, including the TM-T88V, through an installed printer on your Windows PC or Mac.
- Install the printer with the appropriate driver or raw-print setup, and confirm it prints from the computer.
- For Ethernet, add the printer using its IP address. QZ uses the installed printer list; it does not scan the network for printers.
- Install and run QZ Tray on the checkout computer, then select the printer in Station Settings.
QZ Tray is a local helper for PC and Mac. Our current QZ receipt option uses Epson ESC/POS commands. Printing without repeated approval prompts requires trusted certificate signing configured for the site.
Star webPRNT
Choose a model with built-in LAN webPRNT. Compatible examples include:
- mC-Print3 MCP31L and MCP31LB.
- TSP650II, TSP700II and FVP10 equipped with an IFBD-HE07X/08X or IFBD-HI01X/02X interface.
Enable webPRNT and configure its HTTPS connection for the hosted POS.
Star lists the MCP31CI, MCP31CBI and TSP100IV without built-in LAN webPRNT. Support through the separate Star webPRNT Browser app or CloudPRNT is a different connection method from our direct webPRNT option.
Citizen XML/Web printing
Use a Citizen receipt printer with the XML Print Service and a compatible network interface. For standard 80 mm receipts, look at:
- CT-S751 with the appropriate network configuration.
- CT-S601II, CT-S801II and CT-D151 in the dedicated XML/Web (W-model) configurations.
Enable XML printing and configure the printer’s HTTPS service for the hosted POS.
Confirm the exact regional part number, interface and firmware with the supplier. Citizen’s model-family name alone does not identify an XML/Web-ready configuration.
